Training Certificate Tracker
Track training certificates for every subcontractor operative. SMSTS, SSSTS, first aid, manual handling, asbestos awareness — all with automatic expiry alerts.
Training certificates expire and nobody notices
Construction training certificates have different validity periods — first aid is three years, asbestos awareness has no formal expiry but best practice is annual refresher, SMSTS is five years. Tracking all of these across dozens of operatives from multiple subcontractors is a spreadsheet nightmare.
First aid certificates expired across half your subcontractor operatives — discovered during a site audit
SMSTS renewals missed because nobody tracked the 5-year expiry cycle
Manual handling training records exist somewhere but nobody can find them
No central view of training status across your supply chain
Different subcontractors provide certificates in different formats — no consistency
Every training certificate tracked with automatic expiry alerts
ContractorVault tracks training certificates at the individual operative level with the correct expiry period for each certificate type. You see a complete training record for every person in your supply chain.
Who uses this?
Health and safety managers tracking training compliance, contracts managers verifying operative qualifications during onboarding, and site managers checking training records before allowing work to proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions — Training Certificate Tracker
What training certificates can I track?
Any UK construction training certificate — SMSTS, SSSTS, first aid at work, manual handling, asbestos awareness, working at heights, confined spaces, abrasive wheels, face fit testing, and more. We have pre-configured certificate types with standard expiry periods.
How does per-operative tracking work?
Each operative is recorded under their subcontractor company. Training certificates are stored against the individual, so you can see a complete training record for any person — regardless of which subcontractor they work for.
What if a training certificate has no formal expiry?
Some certificates (like asbestos awareness) don't have a regulatory expiry but have best-practice renewal periods. ContractorVault uses industry-standard renewal periods as defaults, and you can adjust these during setup.
Can I run a report on training gaps?
Yes. Filter by certificate type across your entire supply chain to see which operatives hold a valid certificate and which don't. This is especially useful for mandatory training like asbestos awareness or first aid.
